In this painting Zolan shows a boy with his new baby-brother. Being with the baby may make the boy feel big and important. He's not just a little child now. He's a big brother. And the baby seems to sense he's in a safe place with a loving person. What shines through the art is that these two are discovering their love for each other. This may be the first time they've forgotten the rest of the world and focused on each other. Now their eyes seem to be sending little messages to each other in a language beyond words. Zolan has given the picture one of his most beautiful color schemes. It is almost all blue and white. The blue is a heavenly blue, like the pure blue of the sky high up in the mountains. The white has the pure whiteness of billowy clouds directly under the sun. Zolan says the blue seemed to give the painting the spiritual feeling he was looking for.
